A. Rodney Kepler, 71, of Meadville, died at City Hospital on Thursday, August 31, 1972, after an illness of two years. He had been hospitalized six weeks.
Mr. Kepler was born at Venango on May 26, 1901, a son of George and Daisey Minium Kepler. On September 7, 1921, he married Sarah E. Lasher who died in August 1971. He and Mrs. Kepler operated Kepler's Grocery Store on the Conneaut Lake Road for 26 years before retiring in 1969. He previously was a street car driver for the NW Railway Co. and later a driver for the West Ridge Bus Co. in the Meadville and Crawford County areas. He was a member of Stone United Methodist Church.
Survivors include four sisters, Mrs. Jack (Mildred) Jones of Hallandale, FL, Mrs. George (Lucille) McCue and Mrs. James (Martha Ann) King, both of North Miami Beach, FL and Mrs. Walter (Edna) Kightlinger of Espyville; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by a sister, Mrs. Florence Skelton and a brother, Frank Kepler.
Services were held at Waid Funeral Home.
Interment was in Roselawn Memorial Gardens.
