Ada Mae Humes

May 26, 1881 — January 10, 1968

Mrs. Ada Mae Humes, 86, of Blooming Valley, died Wednesday, January 10, 1968 at Smith Institute, Saegertown, after a long illness.

A daughter of Malcolm O. and Mary Jane Scott Birchard, she was born at Cambridge Springs, May 26, 1881.  Her husband, Lee Nelson Humes, whom she married June 27, 1900, died in 1953.

Mrs. Humes was a member of Blooming Valley Methodist Church.

She is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Murry (Florence) Theuret of Blooming Valley; two sons, Glenn of Corry and Clyde of Cambridge Springs; three sisters, Mrs. Malcolm (Bertha) McCullough of Saegertown and Mrs. Florence Wykoff and Mrs. Maude Waid, both of Meadville; seven grandchildren; twenty-four great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.

A brother, Alton, preceded her in death.

Services were held at Waid Funeral Home.

Interment was in Lang and Swift Cemetery, Woodcock Township.
