Adam C. Bucsek, 31, of Conneaut Lake died unexpectedly Tuesday, May 31, 2016 in Brooklyn, NY where he had previously lived for 8 years.
He was born in Erie, PA February 26, 1985, a son of Charles Bucsek, Jr. and Lisa Bucsek Stefanucci.
Adam was a 2003 graduate of General McLane High School and a 2007 graduate of Edinboro University with a Bachelor’s degree in Communication and a minor in Music. He had worked at the Olive Tree Café and Comedy Cellar in Greenwich Village in New York City and subsequently worked at Montana’s Rib & Chop House in Meadville.
Adam was musically very talented and artistic. He was proud of his band, Electric People and found the most joy in writing and playing music. He is described as the epitome of kindness, a genuine and true friend with a gentle spirit who enjoyed making those around him happy. He was always supportive of other musicians and artists and was also always willing to lend anyone a hand. Adam loved special times with his family and will be deeply missed by every one of his family and friends.
He is survived by his mother Lisa Stefanucci and her husband David of Conneaut Lake; a brother, Mark Bucsek and his fiancée Nikole Stevens of Buffalo, NY; his maternal grandmother, Lee Ganley of Sun Lakes, AZ; a step-brother, Michael Stefanucci and his wife Meghan of Meadville; two step-sisters, Jill Uberti and her husband Anthony of Hermitage and Jennifer Stefanucci of Meadville and the many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins in his immediate and extended family.
He was preceded in death by his father, Charles Bucsek, Jr.
Calling hours will be Sunday from 1 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at Waid-Coleman Funeral Home, 12422 Conneaut Lake Road, Conneaut Lake.
The funeral service will be Monday at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home with the Rev. Sarah Roncolato, Pastor of Stone United Methodist Church, officiating.
The family suggests memorials may be made to Stairways Behavioral Health (for the Gage House Program), 2185 West 8th Street, Erie, PA 16505.
