Adam Potosky, 77, of Guys Mills, died at Spencer Hospital, Monday, August 6, 1973, following an illness of several months.
He was born in Poland, January 6, 1896. He married Anna Urbanek in 1927. She died in 1969.
After emigrating to the US in 1922, he worked as a coal miner in Fayette County for a number of years and then was a self employed farmer in East Mead Township. He was a member of St. Hippolyte's Roman Catholic Church.
Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Clifford (Helen) Porter and Miss Mary Potosky, both of Guys Mills; six sons, Andrew Washnock of Cochranton, Joseph Washnock of East Springfield, Michael Washnock of Farmington, CT, John Washnock of Safety Harbor, FL, Alexander Potosky of Guys Mills and Edward Potosky of Guys Mills; a sister, Mrs. Brigid of Stroka of Pittsburgh; fourteen grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
Services were held at Waid Funeral Home.
Interment was in St. Hippolyte Cemetery.
