Adelaide H. Reitze

Adelaide H. Reitze, 94, of Union Township, Meadville, died Friday, July 28, 1989, at Meadville Medical Center following a period of failing health.

Mrs. Reitze was born in Vernon Township, July 14, 1895, a daughter of Fred and Jennie Sloan Houser.  She married Wesley G. Reitze on April 5, 1920.  He preceded her in death on October 5, 1978.

She taught school in Union Township and had been assistant principle at Conneaut Lake schools.

Mrs. Reitze was a 69-year member of Stone United Methodist Church and the United Methodist Women of the church.  She was a graduate of Meadville High School and the former Edinboro State Teacher College.  She was also a former 4-H leader, and a former member of the Meadville Womens Club and the former Meadville City Hospital Aux.

Survivors include a niece and four nephews.  She was preceded in death by two sisters, Marguerite Houser and Harriet Hout and a brother, John Houser.

Services were held at Waid Funeral Home.

Interment was in Greendale Cemetery.
