Adella Rebecca Karlskind

One of Meadville's oldest residents, Mrs. Adella Rebecca Karlskind, 96, died Saturday, November 23, 1957, after an illness of 10 months.

The widow of Ernest Karlskind, she had lived in Meadville 51 years and died at the home of a daughter, Mrs. Ada K. Coon of Meadville, with whom she lived.

She was born in 1861 in East Mead Township, a daughter of Jonathan and Emeline Umstead Hamilton.

She was married to Ernest Karlskind November 14, 1878.

She was a member of First Baptist Church and the Women's Missionary Society of the church.

Surviving are another daugher, Mrs. Malcolm R. Palmer of Salamanca, NY; two sons, Herman of Wadsworth, NV and Edward E. of St. Petersburg, FL; five grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

Services were held at Waid Funeral Home.

Interment was in Greendale Cemetery.
