Adolphus Andrew Childs

Adolphus Andrew Childs, 86, of Meadville, died Saturday, March 27, 1965, at City Hospital after an illness of six months.

He was born at Guys Mills September 2, 1878, a son of Carlton C. and Russell Sykes Childs.  He and the former Anna Alice Nies were married June 30, 1921.

Mr. Childs was self-employed as a painting contractor.  He was a member of First Baptist Church.

He is survived by his widow; a son, Justin V. Childs of Erie; three sisters, Mrs. Donald (Zora) Barber, Mrs. George (Myrtle) Clark and Mrs. Mildred C. Smith, all of Meadville; a brother, Wallace W. Childs of New Richmond; and three grandchildren.

Services were held at Waid Funeral Home.

Interment was in Greendale Cemetery.
