Agnes D. Whitcher

Agnes D. Whitcher, formerly of Meadville, a resident of Crawford County Care Center, died Friday, May 5, 1995, at the Crawford County Care Center following a period of declining health.

She was born in Solofra, Italy, a daughter of Anthony and Genevieve Famiglietti D'Urso.

She worked for the Silk Fabricating Co. and as am office clerk for the Hartford Insurance Co., both of New York City.  Subsequently, she was employed as a production worker at Talon, retiring after 32 years service.

Mrs. Whitcher was a member of St. Agatha's Roman Catholic Church and was also a member of the Meadville Women's Club and the Meadville Medical Center Aux.

Survivors include a son, Leigh A. Whitcher of Bethlehem, PA; a sister, Winifred Ameduri of Staten Island, NY and one granddaughter.  She was preceded in death by two sisters, Ann Hookstro and Mary D'Urso and one brother, Nicholas D'Urso.

Services were held at Waid Funeral Home.

Interment was in St. Agatha's Cemetery.
