Agnes K. Sayre

Agnes K. Sayre, 72, of Meadville, died Sunday, March 2, 1997 at Meadville Health and Rehabilitation Center following a period of declining health.

She was born March 11, 1924 in Meadville, a daughter of the late Joseph A. and Clare Ida (Williams) Schwab.  She had been married to George Sayre.

Mrs. Sayre attended St. Agatha High School.  She worked for 10 years as a nurse's aid at Graham Nursing Home, Guys Mills.  She previously worked as a waitress a Palmer's Diner.  She was a member of St. Agatha Roman Catholic Church.

Survivors include three sons, George E. Sayre, Jr. of Okeechobee, FL, David L. Sayre of Georgetown, DE and Larry E. Sayre of Meadville; one daughter, Joyce A. Sauer of Denver, CO; and one sister, Evelyn Lemano of Meadville.

She was preceded in death by an infant son, Carl Lee Sayre; one sister, Florence Johnston and five brothers, Joseph, Virgil, Edward, Theodore and Aloysius Schwab.

Services were held at Waid Funeral Home.

Interment was in Greendale Cemetery.
