Albert Arnim Root, Jr., 51 of Sandy Lake, passed away on May 22, 2020, at his home. Albert was born in Farrell on April 15, 1969 to the late Albert A. Sr. and Judith (Byers) Root. He worked as a truck driver for many years for various companies. Albert was a beloved husband, father, brother, brother-in-law, and uncle. He loved watching NASCAR and football. He loved going to family gatherings, picnics, and parties and loved all of his nieces and nephews. Albert married his beloved wife, Carissa (Kinney) Root, on January 23, 1993, she survives at home. In addition to his wife, Albert is survived by his son Dominic at home, brother; Chester Root and wife Sally, sisters; Becky Peterson and husband Ron and Jody Brazeal and husband Derek, mother and father-in-law Marlene and Charles Kinney, three sisters-in-law, as well as many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Albert was preceded in death by his sister, Trudy McEwen, and niece Tonya. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Black Funeral Home of Stoneboro, 99 Franklin Street. Visitation will take place on Friday, May 29, from 4-6 pm, a Memorial Service will follow visitation at 6 pm. Visitation will be limited to 25 guests at a time, if you plan to attend, please wear a mask. Memorials may be made in Albert’s name to Black Funeral Home to help defray funeral expenses.
