Albert J. Davis, 88, who resided at the Masonic Home, Utica, NY, died at the home Friday morning, January 1, 1965, after a long illness. He had been a resident of the home for seven years.
A son of John and Amenella Malcolmson Davis, he was born at Meadville, and was married to the former Mary Helen Benton, December 13, 1922.
Mr. Davis, a retired master mechanic for the Erie Railroad, worked at Hornell, NY, Salamanca, NY and Jersey City, NJ. At one time, he was a partner in the Meadville Bottling Co. He was a member of Masonic Lodge 239, Cattaraugus, NY and the Shrine.
Surviving are one daughter, Mrs. Ralph J. (Elizabeth) Clay of Bound Brook, NJ and two grandchildren.
Services were held at Waid Funeral Home.
Interment was in Greendale Cemetery.
