Alberta DeVee Fish, 84, of Meadville, died Monday, October 14, 2013, at home unexpectedly.
She was born September 23, 1929 in Hadley, a daughter of Ralph and Fleda Viola Bartz Ohle. She married Richard (Dick) E. Fish October 22, 1988 and he preceded her in death October 8, 2012.
DeVee was a 1947 graduate of Hadley High School and a graduate of Michael’s Beauty Academy, Meadville. She worked as a beautician in Greenville for several years and subsequently worked in sales at Talon for several years.
DeVee was a member of First Presbyterian Church and former member of Golden Crown Chapter, Order of Eastern Star. She enjoyed quilting, knitting, crocheting, cross-stitching, hunting, fishing, music, and traveling.
Survivors include a daughter, Kristine Kish and her husband Larry of Garnet Valley; a son, Kevin J. Boozel and his wife Cathy of Fairview; a stepdaughter, Kathleen Smith of York; four grandchildren, Adrianne Credo, Richard Smith, Jeffrey Smith, and Chase Moore; a sister, Jean Davis of Cochranton; two brothers, Ralph Ohle, Jr. and his wife Helen of Greenville and Robert Ohle and his wife Kathleen of Hickory, NC; a special friend and caregiver, Judy Sindlinger of Meadville; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Charles Duaine Ohle and William (Bill) Ohle.
Calling hours will be Thursday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at the Robert W. Waid Funeral Home, 581 Chestnut St., Meadville.
The funeral service will be Friday at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home with the Rev. Dr. Brian Jensen, Pastor of First Presbyterian Church, officiating.
Interment will be in Kiser Hill Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Women’s Services, 204 Spring St. or Hospice of Crawford County, 464 Pine St., both of Meadville, PA 16335.
