Alex Clinton Williams

Alex Clinton Williams, 23, of Erie and formerly of Meadville, went to be with his Lord and Savior Thursday, May 4, 2017 at UPMC Hamot where he lost his battle with drug addiction.

He was born August 8, 1993 in Meadville.  He was a 2012 graduate of Meadville Area Senior High School.  He was employed by J.J. Wurst Landscaping Contractors of Erie.

Alex was raised in and had attended the First Christian Church in Meadville.  He loved sports, especially hockey and enjoyed playing the guitar and cooking.

Survivors include his parents, Vicki and Jay Pius of Erie; his biological father, Russell Williams of Meadville; a brother, Justin Williams of Meadville; maternal grandparents, Roger and Eileen Smith of Meadville; a step-sister, Gwen Lubowicki and her husband Michael of Erie; a step-brother, Steven Pius of Raleigh, NC; and several aunts, uncles, and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Melvin and Joanne Williams.

Calling hours will be Tuesday, May 9th from 3 to 6 p.m. at the ROBERT W. WAID FUNERAL HOME, 581 CHESTNUT ST., MEADVILLE where a memorial service will follow at 6:00 p.m. with Roger Smith, grandfather, officiating.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Erie City Mission, 1017 French St., Erie, PA 16501.

The family expresses heartfelt appreciation to the staff and volunteers at the Erie City Mission for all of their love and support.  Alex was blessed to provide hope to others by being an organ donor.
