Alfred A. Johnston

February 13, 1883 — January 1, 1753

Alfred A. Johnston, of Meadville, died suddenly Tuesday morning at his home.

A retired farmer, he resided most of his life in French Creek Township, Mercer County, coming to Meadville seven years ago.  He was a son of the late James A. and Margaret C. Johnson.

He was a member of Cochranton United Presbyterian Church of which he was an elder for 37 years.

Survivors are his widow, Louise Bell Johnson; a daughter, Mrs. Marian Dent of Gibsonia; two sisters, Mrs. Mary Moore of Carlton and Mrs. Clara Mitchell of Polk; a brother, Hugh of Cochranton and three grandchildren.

Services were held at Waid Funeral Home.

Interment was in Cochranton Cemetery.
