Alfred E. Teifer

Alfred E. Teifer, 67, of Meadville, died at City Hospital this morning, after a long period of failing health.  Son of the late Albert and Meda Freund Teifer, he was born here and had spent his entire life in Meadville.

Mr. Teifer had been employed by the Erie Railroad Co. for 46 years and was shop superintendent before his retirement in 1949.  He was lifelong member of Zion Evangelical and Reformed Church.

Masonic affiliations were with Crawford Lodge 234, F & AM, Solomon Royal Arch Chapter, and NW Commandry of Knights Templar.

His widow is his only survivor.

Services were held at Waid Funeral Home.

Interment was in Greendale Cemetery.
