Alice Agnew Copeland, 88, of Conneaut Lake, died Satruday, July 31, 1999, at Nissly's Personal Care.
She was born in Harmonsburg, August 3, 1910, a daughter of Robert F. and Lucilla Mae Thomas Agnew. She married Robert Samuel Copeland Sr., June 25, 1939, at Harmonsburg Presbyterian Church. He preceded her in death July 2, 1979.
She graduated from Summit High School in 1927 and graduated from Meadville Commercial College.
She was a housewife and mother and worked for Talon Corp. as a secretary.
She was a member of Fifth Street Presbyterian Church, at Conneaut Lake, an elder and former president of the Woman's Assn. there.
She was a judge of elections for Conneaut Lake Borough for many years, was active in the PTA and many school functions.
She enjoyed her grandchildren, travel, cooking and having family and friends in her home.
Survivors include three sons, Robert (Sam) Copeland (Robin) of Conneaut Lake, Paul A. Copeland of Conneautville and Timothy A. Copeland (Maria) of Conneaut Lake; two daughters, Lucilla Pisani (Vince) of Conneaut Lake and Suanne Laird (James) of Hartstown; ten grandchildren, Corey C., Richard P., Rachel L. Niemann, Ann L. Laird, Kristen L., Luke R. Laird, Julie L., Curtis R., Clint K. and Cody J.; three great-grandchildren; two sisters, Grace Brimner of Boynton Beach, FL and Eleanor Shontz of Tucson, AZ and a brother, William A. Agnew of Conneautville.
She was preceded in death by an infant son; three brothers, Robert, Nelson and George Agnew and four sisters, Ruth Ellis, Louisa Hotchkiss, Eva Garbart and Olive Rea.
Services were held at Waid-Coleman Funeral Home.
Interment was in Evergreen Cemetery, Harmonsburg.
