Amy L. Cochran

February 17, 1892 — March 20, 1983

Mrs. Amy L. Cochran, 91, formerly of Cambridge Springs, widow of John Cochran and a resident of United Methodist Home and Nursing Hospital since June 1965, died there Sunday, March 20, 1983, after a brief illness.

She was born in Venango County, February 17, 1892, a daughter of David and Elizabeth Adams Lynch.  She married Mr. Cochran in 1910.  He died in 1928.

She worked as a hostess at the Riverside Hotel, Cambridge Springs, for 31 years.

Mrs. Cochran was a life member of Cambridge Springs United Methodist Church and was a member of the church's Alpha Sunday School Class.

Survivors include a son, the Rev. Paul G. Cochran of North Miami, FL; two sisters, Mrs. Bertha M. Scheckengost, of Wesbury and Mrs. Adda McDannell of Cambridge Springs; a brother, Arthur Lynch of Boyers; four grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Two sisters and three brothers preceded her in death.

Services were held at Waid Funeral Home.

Interment was in Clintonville Cemetery.
