Mrs. Amy Urick Houser, 88, of Meadville, died Saturday, August 25, 1962, following an illness of several weeks.
She was born in Meadville, December 22, 1873, a daughter of John V. and Delia Barnes Urick, and married the Henry A. Houser August 17, 1898. He preceded her in death.
She was a member of Stone United Methodist Church and its Beacon of Light Class and formerly taught in the church's nursery department.
Previous to her marriage, she taught in the Crawford County public school system.
Surviving are two daughter, Mrs. Edward B. (Florence) Miller of Meadville and Mrs. Elon H. (Helen) Niles of Pacoima, CA; a son, John R. Houser of Meadville; a sister, Miss Dorothy Urick of Meadville; two brothers, Alfred Urick of Pasadena, CA and John V. Urick of Lenard Village, FL; and five grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.
Services were held at Waid Funeral Home.
Interment was in Greendale Cemetery.
