Andrew Lauren Brown

April 5, 1906 — July 2, 1963

Andrew Lauren Brown, 57, of Meadville, died Tuesday, July 2, 1963, at Spencer Hospital after an illness of several months.

A son of Edgar A. and Mabel Bennett Brown, he was born April 5, 1906, in Vernon Townhsip.  He was graduated in 1927 from Meadville High School and in 1934 from Pennsylvania State University.  He had the former Heloise Fye were married August 19, 1933.

Mr. Brown was engaged in farming.  He was a member, elder and Sunday School superintendent of Watson Run United Church of Christ.  He was a leader in the 4-H Club movement, a member of Vernon Grange, secretary-treasurer of Watson Run Cemetery Assn., and a member of Meadville Masonic Lodge 408.

He is survived by his widow; two daughters, Mrs. Lawrence H. (Mary Ann) Reimer of Beatrice, Neb. and Mabel Jean, student at Westminster College; a son, Lauren R., student at DePauw University; a sister, Mrs. Lloyd L. (Mildred) Thomas of Covelo, CA; three grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Services were held at Waid Funeral Home.

Interment was in Watson Run Cemetery.
