Andrew Michael Kosturick, 62, of Conneaut Lake died Monday, November 28, 2016 at the Meadville Medical Center.
He was born February 21, 1954 in Meadville a son of Andrew and Marie Agnes Euliano Kosturick. He was a hard worker in the construction industry starting with his father before he completed high school in Conneaut Lake. He continued over the years working in the coal and oil and gas industries. He owned and operated Kosturick Construction for about 40 years and was proud of all his accomplishments including his contribution to Allegheny College’s North Village Phase 2 and Meadville Medical Center’s Vernon Place. He also provided the base for Allegheny College’s Gator from his rock quarry where he also produced aggregate for construction and oil field projects.
He was a workaholic, quick-witted, always good at making judgement calls when it was most needed. He was an honest and outspoken man with a big heart. In more recent years he became interested in genealogy and scanning old family photos for loved ones.
He is survived by his son, Andrew Stephen Kosturick of Conneaut Lake; a sister, Joan Marie Kozlowsky of Conneaut Lake; three nieces, Sonya Cashner of New Jersey, Janine Kozlowsky of Conneaut Lake and Janice Corner of Conneaut Lake; a nephew, John A. Kozlowsky of Meadville; his former wife, Shawn Kosturick of Linesville and several great nieces, great nephews and cousins.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Carol Ann Cashner.
Calling hours will be Friday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at the Waid-Coleman Funeral Home, Inc., 12422 Conneaut Lake Road, Conneaut Lake with a Prayer Vigil at 4 p.m. at the funeral home.
Mass of Christian Burial will be Saturday at 11 a.m. at Our Lady Queen of the Americas Roman Catholic Church, 155 S. Ninth Street, Conneaut Lake with Fr. Jeffrey Lucas, Celebrant.
Interment will be in Our Lady Queen of the Americas Cemetery.
