Mrs. Angess E. Cutshall, 91, of Meadville, died Thursday, July 10, 1975, at Mead Nursing Home where she was a patient for three years. She had been in failing health.
Born at Blooming Valley, July 22, 1883, she was a daughter of Leonard and Adell Smith Smith. She married Hugh Cutshall in 1902. He died in 1938.
As a young adult, she taught school in East Mead Township. With her husband, she owned and operated Cutshall's Grocery at the corner of North and Liberty streets for many years. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church and the Priscilla Class of the church.
Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. John B (Iola) Scrivner of Meadville; two sisters, Mrs. Harold (Lila) Waid of Meadville and Mrs. Iva Morris of Edinboro; two grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two brothers and a sister.
Services were held at Waid Funeral Home.
Interment was in Blooming Valley Cemetery.
