Ann (Annie) Casner, 69, of 217 East Central Avenue, Titusville, formerly of Guys Mills, passed away early in the morning on January 10, 2018, at Titusville Hospital. It was her 69th birthday. Ann Jeanine Casner was born on January 10, 1949, in Toledo, Ohio. She graduated from Central Catholic High School in Toledo in 1967. She was married in February of 1981 to David Casner who preceded her in death in 2011. She held various jobs throughout her life including waitress, lead teacher in YMCA daycare, bank teller, newspaper carrier for the Sunday paper, and telephone operator. Ann was an avid fisherwoman and crafter. She loved making snowmen in the winter and blowing bubbles in good weather both at Central Towers. She loved Halloween which was her favorite holiday. She made popcorn balls, Jello brains and Jello hearts for her annual Halloween display and celebration in Guys Mills. For three years in a row she was a "ghoul" at the Townville Maze. Ann always had time for a child and always protected children in any way that she could. Ann was quick to donate to good causes and to volunteer when volunteers were needed. She volunteered at Central Towers as a hall monitor and volunteered and painted at the Toy Shop in Titusville for five years. The Toy Shop was very near and dear to her heart. Ann was described by friends as a "ray of sunshine" and someone who was "still a child at heart." She is survived by her son, Jerry Davis and his wife (Kelli) of Titusville, two sisters Susan Baumgartner (husband Chris) of Waukesha, Wisconsin, Pat Barker (husband Jerry) of Pompano Beach, Florida, two brothers Danny and Kenneth Kiefer both of Toledo, Ohio, and several nieces and nephews. To honor her wishes, no public calling hours or service will be observed. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Titusville Toy Shop, 113 Saint John St., Titusville, PA 16354 or a non-profit of your choice. Ann would like that. The arrangements have been entrusted to the ROBERT W. WAID FUNERAL HOME, 581 CHESTNUT ST., MEADVILLE where memories and condolences may be shared at www.waidfuneralhome.net. Charitable donations may be made to:Titusville Toy Shop 113 Saint John St., Titusville PA 16354
