Anna Boyd

Annie (Anna) Crane Boyd, 84, of Meadville, died Wednesday, November 18, 1981 at City Hospital following a sudden illness.

She was born in Canonsburg, January 24, 1897, a daughter of the late David P. and Mary Alice Manes Crane.  She married Line L. Boyd in 1916, and he preceded in her in death on February 22, 1934.

Anna was employed at American Viscose where she retired from in 1961.  She was a member of First Christian Church and took part in its Friendship Class and the choir for many years.

Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Earl (Esther) Johnston of Meadville; a son, Kenneth T. Boyd of Meadville; a sister, Mrs. Martha Shutt of Canisteo, NY; eight grandchildren; and fifteen great-grandchildren.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by three sisters and one brother.

Services were held at Waid Funeral Home.

Interment was in Roselawn Memorial Gardens.
