Anna E. Ellis

Miss Anna E. Ellis, of Meadville, died suddenly at Spencer Hospital on Monday, July 12, 1971.

She was born at Conneautville, a daughter of John Wilson and Effie D. Slayton Ellis.  She retired as a case worker for the state Department of Public Welfare in 1955.  She was a tax collector for the Borough of Conneautville and worked for Justice of the Peace Harry Bail.  She was a member of First Presbyterian Church, the YWCA and Meadville Grange.

She is survived by several cousins, including four from Crawford County, Miss Elizabeth Ellis, Morse and Arthur, all of Meadville and C. O. Slayton of Conneautville.

Services were held at Waid Funeral Home.

Interment was in Conneautville Cemetery.
