Anna Ellen Hickman

Anna Ellen Hickman, 76, of Countryside Trailer Court, of Meadville, died Monday, January 20, 1997 at Meadville Medical Center following a lengthy illness.

She was born December 29, 1920 in Meadville, a daughter of the late Thurman and Pearl (Hofius) Johnston.  She married Howard W. Hickman in 1974.  He survives.

Mrs. Hickman had been employed as a waitress for many years.  She also had worked at Talon and Lobue's grocery store.  She was a member of Watson Run Presbyterian Church.

Survivors in addition to her husband, include two daughters, Carol Ann Cox of Guys Mills and Mary Ellen Peterson of Cochranton; one son, Richard D. Twombley of Grand Rapids, MI; eleven grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren; and also nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by two brothers, Patterson and Earl Johnston.

Services were held at Waid Funeral Home.

Interment was in Roselawn Memorial Gardens.
