Anna Lou Olson, 86 of Sandy Lake Twp, Stoneboro, passed away on January 31, 2021 at home surrounded by her family. Anna Lou was born on November 25, 1934 to the late Glenn and Helen (Miller) Andrews in Millcreek Twp. She was a graduate of Sandy Lake High School and went on to earn her Bachelor’s Degree at Marion College, now Indiana Wesleyan College, in Marion, IN. She was a teacher at Lakeview School District for 28 years. Anna Lou married her beloved husband, Audley W. Olson on June 11, 1966, who preceded her in death on November 8, 2020. Anna Lou was a longtime member of the Lakeview Church of God where she was very involved with mission work and served as the Sunday School Treasurer for many years. She was very involved in children’s ministry and began a Wednesday night Bible Club for children. She was also a member of the Gideon Auxiliary. Anna Lou had many roles throughout her life but the most important were those of mother and wife. She found great joy in creating a loving home for her family and spending time with her children and grandchildren. Her greatest legacy is the way she lived out her faith in God and shared it with those around her. Anna Lou is survived by her children, Beth French and husband David of Anderson, IN, and Dean Olson and wife Statia of Jersey Shore, PA, grandchildren; Allison Olson of Pittsburgh, Owen French and Austin French of Anderson, IN, and Anna Olson of Jersey Shore, sisters Pauline Harnett of Hadley, Linda Mouck and husband Don of Sandy Lake, Judy Robertson and husband Jim of Sandy Lake, and brother Larry Andrews and wife Carolyn of Utica, as well as many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband, Anna Lou was preceded in death by her granddaughter, Emmalynne Olson, and brothers Gene Andrews and Norman Andrews. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Black Funeral Home of Stoneboro, 99 Franklin Street, where family and friends are welcome from 4-7 pm on Wednesday, February 3. Additional visitation will take place from 1-2 pm on Thursday, February 4, at the Lakeview Church of God, a funeral service will follow at the church at 2 pm with the Pastor Barry Markle, church pastor, and Rev. Dean Olson, officiating. Interment will follow in Oak Hill Cemetery.
