Anna Mae Duffy, 88, of Conneaut Lake, died Thursday, June 14, 2012 at Rolling Fields. She was born September 26, 1923 in Pittsburgh a daughter of August and Irene Dot Wenzel. She married Russell E. Duffy, Sr., September 26, 1944 and he survives.
She was a 1941 graduate of South Hills High School, Pittsburgh and was very devoted to her family.
Survivors in addition to her husband Russell of 67 years, include: two daughters, Colleen Aitken and her husband Dennis of Pittsburgh and Noreen Yennerell and her husband Rich of Apache Junction, AZ; two sons, Russell Duffy Jr. and his wife Judy of Conneaut Lake and Patrick Duffy and his wife Janet of Pittsburgh; nine grandchildren, James Richter, Megan Newsome, Becky Bercis, Jackie Lesher, Beth Duffy, Nick Duffy, Erin Duffy, Katelyn Duffy and Kelly Duffy; a step-granddaughter, Kelly Needham; five great grandchildren, Austin Richter, Delaney Newsome, Cole Ternet, Lexis Bercis and Logan Lesher and a step great granddaughter, Avery Needham.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Walter Wenzel and two sisters, Margaret Brehm and Elsie Bruener.
Calling hours will be Sunday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at the Waid-Coleman Funeral Home Inc., 12422 Conneaut Lake Road, Conneaut Lake.
The funeral service will be Monday at 10 a.m. at the funeral home with Fr. Steve Anderson, Pastor of Our Lady Queen of the Americas Church, officiating.
Interment will be in Our Lady Queen of the Americas Cemetery.
The family suggests memorials be made to the Myastenia Gravis Association of Western PA, 490 E. North Avenue, Suite 410, Pittsburgh, PA 15212.
