Annabelle Gable, 85, of 964 D Street, Meadville, died Friday, November 6, 2009 at Golden Living Center, Meadville.
She was born February 13, 1924 in Meadville, a daughter of the late Delbert and Sarah Brady Gable.
Annabelle attended Meadville Public Schools and was employed at Meadville Malleable for over 30 years. In her younger years, she was an active member of the Salvation Army, Meadville. She resided with her parents for many years and acted as their caregiver. She enjoyed baking.
Survivors include 3 sisters, Margaret Benak of Meadville, Dorothy Hargenrader and her husband Don of Guys Mills, and Ethel Luzier of Guys Mills; 2 brothers, Arthur Gable and his wife Nancy of Meadville and Edward Gable and his wife Lucille of Meadville; and several nieces and nephews including her beloved niece, Linda Luzier of Meadville, who was her caregiver for many years.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by 2 sisters, Esther Popovich and Kathern Clark and 4 brothers, Albert, James, Harold, and Charles Gable.
Calling hours will be Sunday from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Robert W. Waid Funeral Home, 581 Chestnut St., Meadville.
The funeral service will be Monday at 1:30 p.m. at the funeral home with the Major L. Garth Faulds, Salvation Army, officiating.
Burial will be in Kiser Hill Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Salvation Army, 1087 Park Ave., Meadville, PA 16335.
