Anne Langdon, 89, of 10437 Kennedy Hill Rd., Meadville died Friday, August 20, 2004 while on vacation with her family in Glasgow, Scotland.
She was born July 1, 1915 in Perth, Ontario, Canada a daughter of Alfred and Sarah J. Jamieson Kennedy. She married H.D. Paddison, RCAF August 1, 1942 and he preceded her in death in 1943 in Germany during World War II. She subsequently married Arthur M. Langdon October 25, 1947 and he survives.
She was a veteran of World War II with the Women’s Royal Canadian Navy serving from 1944-1946. She was a former member and past president of City Hospital Auxiliary and a former member of City Hospital Board of Directors and Hamot Hospital Board of Corporators. She was a member of Meadville Medical Center Auxiliary and a member and past president of Woman’s Literary Club.
She was also a member of First Presbyterian Church and its Grace Circle.
Survivors, in addition to her husband of 56 years, include: two sons, A. Kennedy Langdon and his wife Amy of Coconut Creek, FL and Dr. Brian D. Langdon of Meadville; one daughter, Heather A. Carlson and her husband Larry of Stow, OH; two brothers, Max J. Kennedy of Guelph, Ontario and Dr. Alfred Kennedy of Port Perry, Ontario; six grandchildren, Vanessa A. Carlson, Jeffrey R. Carlson, Natalie J. Carlson, Elizabeth A. Langdon, Christopher J. Langdon and Jeremy T. Langdon and several nieces and nephews.
Calling hours will be Sunday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at the Robert W. Waid Funeral Home, Inc., 581 Chestnut St., Meadville.
The funeral service will be Monday at 10:30 a.m. at the First Presbyterian Church, 890 Liberty St., Meadville with the Rev. Dr. Brian Jensen, Pastor, officiating.
Burial will be in Roselawn Memorial Gardens.
