Anne M. Winans, 76, of Meadville, a member of First Presbyterian Church for more than 50 years, died Friday, December 21, 1990, at Meadville Medical Center following an extended illness.
The eldest of seven children, she was born at McKees Rocks, January 1, 1914, a daughter of Michael and Mary Sardula Kosturick. She moved to Sadsbury Township in 1928. Although primarily a homemaker, she had been employed at Talon, Inc. and in the dietary departments of Crawford Central School District and the former City Hospital. She had been a member of the City Hospital Ladies Aux. and was a member of First Presbyterian Church for more than 50 years.
She married Paul L. Winans on November 18, 1933.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by two daughters, Mary Ruther of Walla Walla, WA and Andrea Hickernell of Meadville; one son, Richard Winans of Thousand Oaks, CA; two sisters, Mary Meloni of McKees Rocks and Helen Godsave of Meadville; three brothers, Andrew Kosturick of Inglewood, CA and Charles Kosturick of Cincinnati, OH; eight grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by one brother, Stephen Kosturick.
Services were held at Waid Funeral Home.
Interment was in Greendale Cemetery.
