Anne Marie Bish

Anne Marie Bish of Townville went to her final home to meet her heavenly Father on Sunday, March 25, 2018 at Rolling Fields. She was born September 4, 1936 in Meadville to Robert Shilling and Jeanette Murphy-Shilling. She met her husband, Chuck, at Meadville High School and they married on March 2, 1957. After graduating from High School, she spent a few years working for the Associate Loan Company in Meadville and then became an airline attendant before beginning her career as a life-long and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She raised 5 children and shared her keen sense of humor and fabulous cooking skills daily in her home. She was a great story-teller and her children and grandchildren are grateful for being blessed to know how life was lived decades ago in a simpler time. She was introduced to the importance of Salvation through a personal relationship with Jesus while watching a Billy Graham Crusade on television in the 1960s and shared her faith with many others. She volunteered as a Sunday School teacher and enjoyed having Bible studies in her later years with many dear friends. As her children grew she worked as a church secretary and enjoyed vacations along with her husband on the Eastern Coast. Together they built a cabin in the country where she loved sitting on their porch to drink coffee and watch the changing seasons at the pond. Her laughter, singing of hymns, advice, and companionship will be missed by all who dearly loved her. She is survived by her husband of 61 years, Charles and five children: Ron (Valorie), Judi (Dan Harry), Charlie Jr. (Tanya), Barry (Karen), and Dan (Michelle). She is further survived by nineteen grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, her brother, David Shilling, and a great-grandson. A private memorial service will be held at the ROBERT W. WAID FUNEARL HOME, 581 CHESTNUT ST., MEADVILLE where memories and condolences may be shared at www.waidfuneralhome.net.
