Archie C. Morehouse

Archie C. Morehouse, 85, of Meadville, died Friday, October 21, 1988, at Meadville Medical Center following a sudden illness.

Mr. Morehouse was born in Belle Valley, March 13, 1903, a son of Clyde and Mamie Christie Morehouse.  He married Leola Pifer June 30, 1933.  She survives.

He had been self-employed as a businessman.  He was a member of First Baptist Church and the church's MCR Sunday School class.  He was a member of the Exchange Club and the Optimist Club, both of Meadville.

Survivors, in addition to his wife, include two daughters, Mrs. David (Nancy) Stutzman of Little Cooley and Mrs. John (Linda) Penter of Alto Loma, CA; one sister, Pearl Sands of Belle Valley and three granddaughters.

He was preceded in death by two brothers and two sisters.

Services were held at Waid Funeral Home.

Interment was in Wintergreen Gorge Cemetery, Belle Valley.
