Archie Karl Britton

Archie Karl Britton, 68, operator of a real estate and insurance agency in Meadville for 30 years, died Thursday, June 19, 1958, at his home after a long illness.

A native of Guys Mills, he was born December 16, 1889, a son of L. Edgar and Eletha Oakes Britton.

He married the former Sarah McMahan July 26, 1930.

Britton moved to Meadville about 30 years ago and had operated his agency ever since.

He was a founder and first president of Meadville Real Estate Board.

He was a member of First Church of Christ, Scientist, and many Masonic bodies.

Surviving, besides his widow are a daughter, Helen Trace (William) of Park Forest, IL; three sisters, Lela Graham (Lee), Hattie Smith (Oscar), and Martha Britton, all of Meadville; a brother, Ray W. Britton of Erie; three grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Services were held at Waid Funeral Home.

Interment was in Greendale Cemetery.
