Arden G. Childs

Arden G. Childs, 57, of Meadville, died Thursday, March 6, 1980, at Hamot Medical Center, Erie, after a three-week illness.

He was born in Meadville June 26, 1922, a son of Wallace and Georgia Daniel Childs.  He married Helen Raybuck January 8, 1944.

He last was employed in the shipping department of Leech Tool, Inc.  For many years he was sales representative for S and H Stamp Co.  He was a veteran of World War II, having served in the US Coast Guard.  He was a member of Grace United Methodist Church.

Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Mrs. George (Joyce) Leonheart of Meadville; a son, David H. Childs of Meadville; two grandchildren and several cousins.

Services were held at Waid Funeral Home.

Interment was in Roselawn Memorial Gardens.
