Arlan D. Horne

Arlan D. Horne, 76, of Atlantic, passed away Thursday, April 20, 2017 at St. Vincent Hospital, Erie.

He was born December 16, 1940 in Atlantic, PA, a son of Lyle M. and Mariam Coulter Horne.  He married Sandra Braden September 21, 1968 and she survives.

Arlan was a 1958 graduate of Conneaut Lake High School and served in the National Guard Reserves.  He worked as a field auditor for the PA Department of the Auditor General for 26 years, retiring in 2001.

Arlan was a member of Fallowfield United Methodist Church, member and past master of Adelphia Masonic Lodge 424, Jamestown, and was a 22 year member of the Conneaut School Board.

Survivors, in addition to his loving wife Sandra of 48 years, include a daughter, Shannon Zimmer and her husband Dennis of Erie; a granddaughter, Hannah Zimmer; two brothers, L. Wade Horne and his wife Carole of Atlantic and Gary L. Horne and his wife Mimi of Atlantic; and nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a niece, Meagan Skelton.

Services will be private.
