Arnold L. "Arnie" "Chief Wolf Dreamer" Myers

Arnold L. “Arnie” “Chief Wolf Dreamer” Myers, 75 of Sandy Lake, passed away in his home surrounded by his family the morning of February 4, 2019. Arnie was born on August 25, 1943 to the late John Richard “Dick" and Dorothy Knapp Myers. He attended Lakeview Schools and went on to work at Polk State Hospital and Cooper Energy in Grove City. Arnie proudly served his Country in the United States Army, Vietnam Era. Arnie was a strong believer in Christian and Native American Faiths. He was a member of the Franklin VFW Jesse G. Greer Post #1835 and a member of the United Eastern Lenape Nation. Arnie loved the Native American Culture and practiced many of their ways. He also enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Arnie married his beloved wife, Sandra E. “Gentle Heart” Edmiston, on October 8, 1977, she survives at home. In addition to his wife, Arnie is survived by his children, Laurie J. Rager of Stoneboro, Tammy S. Edmiston of Sandy Lake, Crystal K. Millner and husband Daniel “Dan” of Sandy Lake, Ruth A. Steele of Stoneboro, and Edward John Myers of Parumph, NV, seven grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, brothers Harry “Bill” Myers and wife Mary Lee of Stoneboro, Harold “Jim” Myers and wife Dawnieta of Grove City, and sister Barbara Chisholm and husband Brian of Jackson Center, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Arnie was preceded in death by his parents. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Black Funeral Home of STONEBORO, 99 Franklin Street, where family and friends are welcome from 1-3 pm on Saturday, February 9. A funeral service will follow visitation at 3:30 on Saturday at the funeral home with Spyder and Tekawitha Webb of Clearwater Ministries of Greenville, PA. Following the service full Military Honors will be rendered by the V.E.T.S. Honor Guard. Interment will be private. Memorials may be made in Arnie’s name to Black Funeral Home, PO Box 245, Stoneboro, PA 16153, to help defray funeral expenses.
