Arthur 'Bud' Lyle Postance

Arthur “Bud” Lyle Postance, 67 of 18 S. Broad Street, Waynesboro, PA and formerly of Meadville died Friday, October 7, 2005 at Waynesboro Hospital in Waynesboro Pa.

He was born in Meadville, January 12, 1938 a son of Alton James and M. Lenore Smith Postance.

Mr. Postance graduated from Meadville High School in 1955, attended Grove City College and graduated from Kent State University in 1975.

Mr. Postance was a Veteran of the Vietnam War stationed in Japan with the US Air Force and a retired Civil Service employee.  He was a member of Masonic Lodge #694, Grand Council #130 and Royal Arch Chapter #223 all of Niles, OH, Knights Templar Lodge #079, Civil War Research Lodge #1865 of VA., Southern California Research Lodge #1005, Ancient Accepted Scottish Rite Bodies of Ohio, Zemba Shriners Club of Harrisburg, PA, Franklin Co. Shrine Club, PA, American Legion Posts #0015 & #1121 of Waynesboro and The Philalethes Society.  While growing up in Meadville he was a member of First Presbyterian Church and more recently he was a member of Quincy Lutheran Church in Quincy, PA.

In addition to his mother Lenore of Meadville, he is survived by three daughters, Beth Ann McCauley of Frederick MD, Jennifer A Repine of Marietta, PA, and Sarah L Keller or Elizabethtown, PA and 6 grandchildren, Cory and Olivia McCauley, Victoria and Ariana Repine, Patrick and Jarrod Keller. In addition to his family, he will also be remembered by his childhood friend, Arnold Sutter of South Carolina.

He was preceded in death by his father, Alton James Postance and one sister, Martha McConnell.

The family will receive friends Tuesday from 7-9 p.m. at the Robert W. Waid Funeral Home, Inc., 581 Chestnut Street, Meadville.  The funeral service will be Wednesday at 11 a.m. at the funeral home with the Rev. Travis Webster, Associate Pastor of First Presbyterian Church, officiating.

Burial with military honors provided by Huidekoper VFW Post #2006 will be in Greendale Cemetery.
