Arthur E. Irwin

Arthur E. Irwin, 84, of Meadville, died Wednesday, May 15, 1974, at City Hospital where he had been a patient for two weeks.

He was born in Meadville on March 20, 1890, a son of Harry H. and Edith A. Griffin Irwin.  In 1914, he married Iva Hites who died in November 1972.  He married Flora Carr on March 3, 1973.

Mr. Irwin owned and operated a Quality Cash store at the corner of Grove and State Streets for many years.  He later was inspector of weights and measures for the City of Meadville.  He was a member of Grace United Methodist Church.

Survivors include his widow and a sister, Mrs. L. F. Stevenson of Berdina, CA.

Services were held at Waid Funeral Home.

Interment was in Greendale Cemetery.
