Arthur G. Keisel

Arthur G. Keisel, 71, of Meadville, died at Spencer Hospital Sunday, August 25, 1974, after a 10-month illness.

He was born at Buffalo, August 2, 1903, a son of Arthur and Tilley Burlinghoff Keisel.  He married Viola Messerall, February 5, 1930.  An assistant manager of the J. C. Penney Co. Store for 10 years, he previously was the owner and manager of the Firestone Store in Greenville for 20 years.  While at Greenville, he was a member and director of Greenville Kiwanis Club and was a Boy Scout counselor.  He was a member of Meadville First Presbyterian Church.

In addition to his widow, survivors include three sons, Arthur M. of Greenville, Glenn L. of Ashtabula, OH and Jack A. of Orlando, FL; a sister, Mrs. Myron (Wihelmina) Custead of Meadville; three brothers, Roy, Louis and Clarence of Meadville; seven grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

A sister and twin brothers preceded him in death.

Services were held at Waid Funeral Home.

Interment was in Greendale Cemetery.
