Arthur W. Hamilton

Arthur W. Hamilton, 67, of Meadville, died at City Hospital Monday, May 15, 1972, after being hospitalized since last Wednesday.

He was born in East Mead Township, October 4, 1904, a son of Nathaniel and Sarah Smock Hamilton.  He married Janice Irons in 1945.

Mr. Hamilton retired in 1969 as an employee of Pennsylvania Department of Transportation.  He was a veteran of US Army infantry service during World War II and he attended Calvary Baptist Church.

Surviving are his widow; two daughters, Mrs. Robert (Sandra) Philbrick of Meadville and Miss Valerie Hamilton at home; a son, George A. of Meadville; and five grandchildren.

A brother, Clarence, died May 4, 1972.

Services were held at Waid Funeral Home.

Interment was in Kiser Hill Cemetery.
