Ashlee Nicole Foriska

Ashlee Nicole Foriska, 28, of Meadville, passed away peacefully at UPMC Hamot, Sunday, March 2, 2014.  She was born January 9, 1986 in Meadville a daughter of Diane Lyn Bunce Foriska and Timothy Dreu Foriska.

Ashlee was a 2007 graduate of Meadville Area Senior High and the Northwest Tri-County Intermediate Unit #5.  She attended United Community Independence Programs after graduation.  Ashlee will always be known for her long blonde hair and purple wheelchair, but mostly for a face that lit up any room.  She loved unconditionally like only an angel could.  She absolutely adored her brother and was so grateful to have a sister-in-law to be girlie with.  She was surrounded by many friends and touched so many lives, more that even we are aware.  She was blessed to live close to all of her family who she spent time with daily.

In addition to her parents, she is survived by a brother, Andreu Foriska and his wife Paige; her maternal grandparents, Nelson and Joanne Bunce; her paternal grandmother, Regina Foriska; aunts and uncles, John and Joyce Bunce, David and Debra Foriska, Lawrence and Carolyn Barickman and Barbara Foriska as well as great aunts, great uncles and many cousins.  She is also survived by her wonderful caregivers at UCIP and the ARC of Crawford County who she enjoyed life to the fullest with, in particular, Jennifer Lyons and Sarah Higgins.

Ashlee was preceded in death by her paternal grandfather, Stephen J. Foriska and her uncle, Stephen J. Foriska, Jr.

Calling hours will be Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at the Robert W. Waid Funeral Home, Inc., 581 Chestnut St., Meadville.

The funeral service will be Thursday at 11 a.m. at Blooming Valley United Methodist Church, 24740 State St., Meadville with Rev. Joong Wook Koe, Pastor, officiating.

Interment will be in Blooming Valley Cemetery.
