Austa Oakes Virtue

Mrs. Austa Oakes Virtue, 78, of Guys Mills, died Saturday at her home.

Widow of Ernest E. Virtue, she was married in 1899 and lived on the same Guys Mills farm until her death.

She was a daughter of Ezra and Charotte McIlroy Oakes.

She was a member of the Guys Mills Methodist Church.

She is survived by two sons, J. Walter Virtue of Saegertown and Ivan A. Virtue of Meadville; two daughters, Mrs. Alfred H. Minhinnick of Lawrence Park and Mrs. M. B. Carman of Venango; a sister, Mrs. Mattie Gilbert of Guys Mills; seven grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Services were held at Waid Funeral Home.

Interment was in Union Cemetery, Guys Mills.
