Ava E. Peterman, 87, of Conneauville, died Thursday, June 1, 2000, at Rolling Fields Nursing Home, Conneautville, following a brief illness.
She was born in Carlton, May 6, 1913, a daughter of Ross and Phoebe Elliott Miller. She married William G. Peterman, June 24, 1933, and he preceded her in death June 21, 1974.
She was a homemaker, a life member of Rundells Grange, and at the time of her death, the oldest living member of Carmel Baptist Church.
Survivors include four daughters, Ava Jean Peterman of Conneautville, Dorothy Byham of Meadville, Betty Hodge (Douglas) of Jackson Summit and Rachel Barr (Rich) of Meadville; two sons, William G. Peterman, Jr. (June) of Conneautville and David L. Peterman (Linda) of Conneautville; two sisters, Dora Miller of Zephyrhills, FL and Jessie Napper (Ivan) of Sherman, NY; a brother, Layton Miller (Neva) of Zephyrhills, FL; thirteen grandchildren; sixteen great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband; a son, L. G. Peterman; a grandson, Daniel Gable and three sisters, Agnes Dilley, Florence Crabb and Evelyn Jones.
Services were held at Waid Funeral Home.
Interment was in Wayland Cemetery.
