Barbara A. Heller, 79, of Conneaut Lake, died Thursday, June 16, 2011 at Meadville Medical Center.
She was born in Pittsburgh August 24, 1931, a daughter of Winfield and Thelma Eytel Golden. She married Walter J. Heller April 29, 1962 and he preceded her in death February 4, 2009.
Barbara attended Chatham College and was a bartender at various establishments in Conneaut Lake. She also taught ballroom dancing.
She attended Our Lady Queen of the Americas Roman Catholic Church, Conneaut Lake and was a lifetime member of the Conneaut Lake Park Fire Hall.
Survivors include 6 children, Marsha Hood and her husband Dan of Pittsburgh, Valerie Miller and her husband Gary of Pittsburgh, Robert Feist and his wife Iras of Brawley, CA, Teresa Petronio of Conneaut Lake, Walter F. (Buggy) Heller and his wife Nancy of Bradenton, FL, and Rose Holeva and her husband Marty of Conneaut Lake; 15 grandchildren, Molly Snatchko, Robert, Jewel, and Jennifer Feist, Randy Petronio, Mason and Madison Heller, Ashley, Kristen, and Nathan Holeva, Amber, Jason, and Chaz Heller, and Lisa and Dustin Hood; 5 great-grandchildren, Sadie Rose, Chloe, Denali, Dakota, and Silas, and an additional great-grandchild expected in December; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a sister, Eleanor Murray and a brother, Robert Golden.
Calling hour will be Monday from 1:30 to 2:30 p.m. at Waid-Coleman Funeral Home, 12422 Conneaut Lake Rd., Conneaut Lake where a memorial service will follow at 2:30 p.m. with Fr. Steve Anderson of Our Lady Queen of the Americas Church, officiating.
Interment will be in Our Lady Queen of the Americas Cemetery.
