Barbara A. Luckock

Barbara A. Luckock, 81, formerly of Conneaut Lake and a resident of Rolling Fields, passed away there Sunday, October 15, 2017. She was born December 1, 1935 in Sadsbury Township, Crawford County, a daughter of Claude N. and Freda Rodgers Walther. She married Edward E. Luckock at the Harmonsburg United Methodist Church on June 18, 1954 and he preceded her in death August 28, 2014. Barb was a graduate of Linesville High School. She and her husband owned and operated Luckock Shurfine Grocery in Harmonsburg for 28 years. She previously was a bookkeeper at Vic Farrah Chevrolet, was a short order cook, bookkeeper and switchboard operator at Conneaut Lake Park, and caregiver for her grandmother. A member of the Presbyterian Church of Conneaut Lake, Barb was a member and past Noble Grand of the former Conneaut Lake Rebekah Lodge. She enjoyed attending her childrens sporting events and her grandchildrens events at Conneaut Valley. Barb enjoyed playing volleyball and bingo at Rolling Fields and was the 2012 Miss Rolling Fields. Survivors include two sons, Raymond Luckock and his wife Dorothy of Conneautville and Ronald Luckock of Saegertown; two grandchildren, Melissa Schwab and her husband Nic and Emily Luckock; and nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a son, David Ross Luckock; a brother, Frank Walther; and two sisters, Edith Rozalski and Carolyn Rion. Calling hours will be Wednesday from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at WAID-COLEMAN FUNERAL HOME, 12422 CONNEAUT LAKE RD., CONNEAUT LAKE where the funeral service will follow at 1:00 p.m. with the Rev. Rich Jones, Pastor of Conneautville Church of Christ, officiating. Interment will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Harmonsburg. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Shontz Memorial Library, P.O.
