Barbara J. Clark

Barbara Joan Clark, 95, of Meadville, Woodcock Twp., transitioned into the hands of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, peacefully at the Crawford County Care Center on Thursday January 9, 2025, with her family at her side. 

Barb was born on July 5, 1929, to the late William and Hazel Vergith Redmond at Titusville, Pa. She married Richard W. Clark on March 25, 1950, who preceded her in death on October 11, 2011. They enjoyed 61 years together. 

She was a graduate of Saegertown High School, class of 1949. She was employed for a time with Jerome Myers Jeweler before becoming a full-time farm wife alongside her husband at North View Acres in Meadville. She worked hard with him raising dairy cattle, chickens, pigs and horses. She enjoyed doing cake decorating in her younger years. She also enjoyed Western Square dancing with Dick in the Flutter wheels group. She also served on the Planning board in Woodcock Township for several years. 

She also enjoyed being part of Eastern Star, Golden Crown Chapter 44, where she was a Past Matron. She was very active with the chapter until her later years. She was also a member of New Beginnings Church of Go 

She is survived by a son, Walter W. Clark and his wife Denise of Meadville and a daughter Anita L. Clark of Clearwater, Florida; three grandchildren that meant the world to her, Sarah (Chad) Yurisic of Saegertown, Curtis (Cathi) Clark of Woodcock Boro, and Amanda (Josh) Covert of Meadville. She had six great-grandchildren that she loved dearly, Megan Yurisic, Rachel Yurisic, Benjamin Clark, Austin Clark, Emma Covert and Mia Covert; and several nieces and nephews. 

In addition to her husband and parents she was preceded in death by three sisters and two brothers: Martha Lawrence, Alice Kitson, Catherine Redmond, William Redmond and Richard Redmond. 

Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to ROSE AND WAID FUNERAL HOME & CREMATORY, INC. 581 Chestnut Street, Meadville.

There will be visitation at New Beginnings Church of God, Meadville on Friday January 17, 2025, from 4-6 p.m. with a memorial service following that will be conducted by Rev. Keith Mitchell officiating.
