Barbara Ann Deets

Barbara Ann Deets, born on August 6, 1952, in Altadena, California, passed away peacefully on January 5, 2025, at The Grove of Greenville. She leaves behind cherished memories that will forever resonate with those who were fortunate enough to know her.

Barbara married her love, Francis Jerome Deets, in the early 1980's and stayed by his side until he passed in 2013.

Barbara dedicated her professional life as a production specialist for artificial heart valves, contributing significantly to the field and impacting countless lives through her work. Her commitment to excellence was evident in her career, where she applied her educational foundation from Westminster College, where she earned her Bachelor's Degree. Family was the cornerstone of Barbara's life; she devoted her time and energy to nurturing those relationships. In her younger years, she was an avid softball player, embodying both spirit and teamwork that she would carry into her family life. Barbara’s personality shone brightly as she was known for her kind and caring nature. A true homebody at heart, she found joy in the simple pleasures of life, often engaging in beloved hobbies such as cross-stitching and drawing. Her creative pursuits not only reflected her artistic talent but also her ability to inject love and warmth into everything she did. As friends and family gather to remember Barbara, they will surely celebrate a life lived with purpose, passion, and an abundance of love. Her legacy of kindness and dedication will continue to inspire those who were privileged to share time with her. Barbara Ann Deets will be deeply missed, yet her spirit will live on in the hearts of many. 

Barbara is survived by her children; Robert (Becky) Deets, Brian (Barbara) Deets, Christopher Deets, and Susan (Jim) Bienvenu. She also leaves behind eight grandchildren, several great-grandchildren, cousins, nieces, and nephews to cherish her memory. Her brother, Bill Ohler, mourns her loss deeply.

Barbara is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and her brother, Allen Ohler.

Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Rose and Black Funeral Home & Crematory Inc., 99 Franklin Street, Stoneboro, PA, 16153.There will be no services.
