Barbara L. Johnston

Barbara L. Johnston, 64, formerly of Meadville and a resident of Manor Care Health Services, Erie, died there, Saturday, November 15, 2014

She was born in Meadville July 30, 1950 a daughter of Verda A. and Beatrice I. Trace Stevens.  She married Raymond Johnston November 28, 1970 and he preceded her in death May 22, 2003.

She was a 1968 graduate of Meadville High School and previously had worked at Isaly’s on Chestnut Street and in the Dietary Dept. of Wesbury United Methodist Community.  She enjoyed knitting, crocheting, crafting, bingo, reading her Bible and visiting with people.

She is survived by a son, Jason S. Johnston of Erie and a granddaughter, Kylie and twin grandsons, Elliot and Mason.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents.

Calling hours will be Friday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at the Robert W. Waid Funeral Home, Inc., 581 Chestnut Street, Meadville.  The funeral will follow at 8 p.m. at the funeral home with Rev. Bill Cox, Pastor of McLane Church, Edinboro, officiating.

Interment will be in Roselawn Memorial Gardens.
