Beatrice C. Deane

September 9, 1928 — April 22, 2014

Beatrice C. Deane, 85, of Rolling Fields, Conneautville and formerly of Meadville and Titusville, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, April 22, 2014 at 9:30 a.m.

She was a gift from God and was born September 9, 1928.  She was born and raised in Titusville, a daughter of Virgil and Ethel Gilson Shrout.  In 1945, she met her new neighbor Donald J. Deane.  He had just returned from World War II in Europe and moved down the block.  Love at first sight, they were married September 14, 1946.  After raising the family in Titusville, they moved to Meadville in 1970 where they built their own home on Shartle Road.  Donald preceded her in death July 15, 2005.

Bea was previously employed for several years as a machine operator at the Queen Cutlery Company of Titusville.  After moving to Meadville, she was employed at C & J Industries, Teltronics, and NuTec Tooling Systems, Inc.

She loved being out in God’s wonderful outdoors, gardening, getting her hands in the dirt, planting flower beds, and growing her own vegetables.  She took special pleasure in growing numerous fruit trees and blueberry bushes becoming a successful backyard fruit grower.

Bea had a never ending thirst for traveling.  A member of the Eat and Travel Club, traveling with Anderson Coach Tours any chance she got, and exploring new places she had never been to.  One of her most memorable trips was attending the Rose Bowl Parade in Pasadena, CA.

She had an outgoing personality and enjoyed spending much time with numerous friends that she made.  On May 25, 1986, she joined millions of Americans who joined hands from Los Angeles to New York to take a stand against hunger and homelessness in America.  However, she was proudest of her loving family and cherished her time spent with them.  In later years, she loved keeping in touch with family by sending cards and notes on a regular basis.  She was an inspiration to all that knew her and she will be sadly missed.

Bea attended New Beginnings Church of God, Meadville.
