Mrs. Belva Kirk, 85, of Richmond Township, Saegertown, died at City Hospital Tuesday, afternoon, February 6, 1973, after a short illness. She had been hospitalized one weeks.
Born in Richmond Township, August 21, 1887, she was a daughter of Harry and Adelaide Davison Roudebush. She was the widow of George T. Kirk who died in 1960. Mrs. Kirk was a graduate of Edinboro State College and taught in her earlier years. She and her husband farmed in Randolph Township and operated Kirk's Store on Rt. 77 for many years. She was a member of Blooming Valley United Methodist Church.
Survivors include three daughters, Doris of Saegertown, Mrs. Harry (Martha) Burchard of Meadville and Mrs. George (Margaret) Held of State College; seven sons, the Rev. Arthur Kirk of New London, OH, Lloyd George Kirk of Guys Mills, Elton of Saegertown, Edwin of Rockledge, FL, David of Butler, the Rev. Theodore Kirk of Tigerville, SC and Paul of Cambridge Springs; two sisters, Mrs. William (Cynthia) Pierce of Meadville and Mrs. Earl (Laura) Rockwell of Union City; twenty-nine grandchildren and sixteen great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a sister, Lelah.
Services were held at Waid Funeral Home.
Interment was in Blooming Valley Cemetery.
